The sun sets on another day
Pale moon hanging low
Black skies arise, throw light away
The shadows now hold truth at bay
Cold winds begin to blow
The sun sets on another day
None remain of the sun’s bright rays
Dark trees feel the cold of snow
Black skies arise, throw light away
The Earth feels like a lonely cay
Wrapped up in a big, black bow
The sun sets on another day
The night rips sanity into dark fray
Casting hope into fiery inferno
Black skies arise, throw light away
All love is lost, nothing left to say
Give in to hate and let it flow
The sun sets on another day
Black skies arise, throw light away

I like your poem...if i was the teacher i would give you a A+
I like how you used personification in the fifth stanza !
Keep up the good work, Dean.
Wow! Very Deep! You must have had a good helper! lol i like how you changed it though
Very nice Deany Beany! haha I really like it... BUT i do have a suggestion... It would be kind of nice if you had more than just one piece of writing on your blog... haha!
I really like the imagery and strong emotions you evoke with this piece. It leaves the reader with a sense of helplessness and fear as the world slowly closes in around them. Keep it up!
Dean, your imagery is so consistent throughout the poem. I love the lines, "The night rips sanity into the dark fray/casting hope into fiery inferno," and "Wrapped up in a big, black bow." Wonderfully depressing! Once again I agree with Charlotte, you receive 100%.
